The Hamish McHamish Foundation is a charity (SCO045357) raising funds and implementing projects in St Andrews for the town. Hamish McHamish was a ginger cat that lived in the University town of St Andrews, on the East Coast of Fife in Scotland. He came to national and international fame after the book entitled Hamish McHamish of St Andrews: Cool Cat About Town was published. He was believed to bring good luck to businesses and the town and the charity was set up in his name.

The charity recently raised funds for the Beach Wheelchairs project in St Andrews to make our beaches accessible to all. We realised along the way that we needed to do more than this and create an App where our visitors could not only book and use our chairs but also have a holiday and book an inclusive restaurant, accommodation or other place of interest to ensure a fabulous stay in our wonderful town.

Not only this but be able to find other places and towns in Scotland where accessibility of facilities needs highlighting. The App will enable our visitors to access this information easily and have a great experience of our destinations and wonderful beaches.
